Kids class:

As parents we all struggle with teaching our kids positive values, and no matter what you say or do some things just don't seem to stick like we would like them to. Some times they need an outside influence, as a parent of a now adult I have had those moments where I tell them something and it goes right in one ear and out the other. What's even better one day they come back from school or a friends house and they tell you that Jimmy's dad or their (favorite) teacher said 'X" and now its the gospel truth. We usually reply with something like "yes that's right they are very smart" while we are thinking, "OMG I HAVE ALMOST SAID THE EXACT SAME THING NERMROUS TIMES AND NOW YOU LISTEN?!?!?!?!?! UGH". That's where I come in...

In my kids class I reinforce and expand upon core values and help them to understand how to become well adjusted productive adults. I show them Kung-Fu is not just about being a good fighter, its about self improvement and creating a better world for themselves and others. By reinforcing values like courtesy, growth, courage, sincerity, honesty, obedience, humility, perseverance,  honor, loyalty, self-control, knowledge, respect and integrity we can help children develop in positive ways and avoid pitfalls. I know growing up, one of my most respected role models was my Kung-Fu teacher.
